I lead engineering operations at Simple Fractal, where my team builds cloud-native automation for healthcare companies working under HIPAA. I own our AWS production infrastructure, and I was the technical owner for our SOC 2 Type I and Type II certifications.

I came to software from analytical chemistry — four years at the FDA, where I started writing code to fix how the lab handled its own data. That background still shapes how I think about building systems in regulated environments.
